Speedo has concluded four years of extensive research and development to launch FASTSKIN FSII, the world’s fastest swimsuit, which is set to help swimmers blow the competition out of the water in the Athens Olympics this summer. In depth research established the exact characteristics of dermal denticles on a shark’s skin, resulting in the new FASTSKIN FSII, a varied surface, optimising friction drag reduction across the entire body of the swimmer replicating water moving over a shark. This could mean the difference between a gold medal and fourth place.

To coincide with this a limited edition FASTSKIN FSII sunglass is also being launched, designed in black with shark grey along with a unique fluorescent green Speedo ‘s’ accent on the temples. Made of a memory TR plastic, designed with a skull fit temple this pair of sunglasses is the essence of super shark speed. The polycarbonate, shatterproof lenses have a great fluorescent edging to them adding to the ergonomic design of the frame.
